Our Mission To recruit those called to church planting. To assess each individual situation and customize the specific needs. To train potential and present church planters on an ongoing basis. To network planters with one another and with other valuable people they can benefit from. To resource church planters through online resources and training, relationships and personal contact and support. Our Core Values: (First Draft: We would love to hear your additional suggestions on our Forum) Assurance of Calling: John 8:14; We believe that church planters must know exactly where God, through the leading of His Holy Spirit has called them. We further believe that this is the prerequisite for success in His Kingdom. In times of uncertainty or exhaustion it becomes easy to separate from something if we don’t carry a great assurance of our calling. Such assurance is needed in advance to reinforce the decision of staying connected to the mission that God has entrusted us with. Apologetics: We believe that 21st Century church planters face a much different world and ironically a very similar culture as early Christianity. A church planter must be able to prove his or her beliefs and council by Scripture. One must be well grounded in the basis of Scripture as well as being able to defend the faith against modern heresy. Culturally Relevant Evangelism: We believe that church planters must have a burden for the lost: a heart that cries for dying unsaved souls. We believe that an effective church serves its community and treats everyone with love, respect, and dignity. The Church is a force and should not be a private, personal matter. We are His body, hands, heart and mouth to our communities. Family: A church planter must maintain a healthy, faithful, Biblical relationship with their spouse and children. We believe that the local congregation involvement should be an enhancement to the home. We believe that a church planters discipleship and evangelistic efforts be effective at home first. Sound Doctrine: We believe that the teaching and doctrine should be balanced on the historical roots of Christianity that shaped the theology and orthodoxy of faith. We further believe that our Biblical principles are not dependant on affirmation or acceptance by culture. Spirit-Filled: We believe in the moving of the Holy Spirit with a balance of head, heart, intellect and emotion. We believe that this relationship with the Spirit begins through the foundational disciplines that work in our lives through the Fruit of the Spirit. (Gal 5:22). We further believe in the importance and mandate of teaching a new generation about the personal empowerment of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We thus have a responsibility to respond to the presence of God at times through the spontaneity of the workings of the Holy Spirit balanced, proved and established on the Word of God Spiritual Formation: We believe that church planters are called to make disciples, not salvations. We see transformation of each individual as a journey, not a destination. Intercessory Prayer: We believe in the power of prayer and that prayer makes a critical difference in all we attempt to achieve in planting new churches. It is vital to our success and our professional lives. Entrepreneurial Leadership: We believe that effective church planting demands not only great management but an apostolic leadership to be truly effective. Such leadership is always learning and advancing in Biblical, cultural and systemic knowledge. We believe that through the educational process, the body, mind and spirit are all enhanced for the greater development of the Kingdom of God.
Social Injustice: We believe that church planters must speak up in a globalized world for the poor and the issues of social injustice (Isaiah 61). Humility: We believe that church planters are not arrogant or prideful, but humble and broken, fully dependant on the strength of Jesus Christ. Teachable, and willing to accept constructive criticism and change their methods for the sake of production. Accountability: A church planter must respect those in authority, not speak negatively of the elders, or spread discord about a brother in Christ (Matt 18). While power can be potentially dangerous we believe as leaders we must be careful not to abuse those we lead. Thus we ourselves must remain accountable and submitted to our own spiritual authority. We believe in the systems of accountability within and outside the church denominational walls and that this is essential for the continued health of our new church plants. Cultural Relevance: A church planter should not only understand the spiritual climate of his community, he should also be informed of the cultural landscape (1 Chronicles 12:32). Church planters values God’s Word and thus desire to communicate it properly and boldly in the needed cultural forms that best communicates its timeless and inerrant message. Excellence: Excellence honors God and wins people’s heart and respect. (Colossians 3:23). Spirit-filled church planters understand that creativity is the fuel for excellence and such creativity comes directly from the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Such a vision of excellence defeats the status quo and aids in the achievement of achieving God’s purpose and transformation in our lives. It provides a proper reflection of God at work in us as believers. Equipping: A church planters equips, mobilizes, and releases the members of the church for ministry. We recognize and encourage God-given gifts in all women and all men regardless of background (1 Cor 12). Community: We believe that the basis of Christianity is about relationships and such loving relationships should permeate every aspect of church life. We believe in the unity of the Body of Christ and thus placing a great importance on relational health (Mark 3:30-31). Great church planters are committed to building relationships with the un-churched as well as within the community of faith.
